Download Data
Downloading Instructions
The files available for downloading are either
- tarred and compressed,
- compressed, or
- neither tarred nor compressed
depending on their size and the number of files tarred together. Nodes and vegetation files are small text files and hence not been tarred or compressed. You will be able to see these files as text on your browser.
To untar and uncompress files with extension
.tar.Z
first use
uncompress file_name.tar.Z
, to uncompress the file, then
tar vxf file_name.tar
, to untar the file.To uncompress files with extension
.Z
use
uncompress file_name.Z
, to uncompress the file.If a compressed file appears as meaningless characters on your browser screen you will need to change your browser options. Please click here if you do not know how to make your browser prompt you for saving the file (with a particular extension) rather than displaying it on the screen.

Topographic Data (continued) These topographic data are not catchment specific. The files represent simple planar strips of given length with specified slopes. The cells are 10 m by 10 m each. Thus a 100 m strip will have 10 cells and 500 m strip will have 50 cells. Both strips are 1 cell (10 m) wide. |

9 nodes files are available at present for three different soil depths and three different soil types. Writing nodes files is extremely easy. These sample files will help you to write your own nodes files. |
